Tom Roback will be presenting on “Identifying ESOP Opportunities” at the Rotary Club of Plainsboro-NSB and the Levittown-Fairless Hills Rotary this week. His session will explore what factors make a company “ripe” for an ESOP and is open to business owners and professionals.

In memory of the fifteenth anniversary of 9/11, we encourage you to take the time to watch this PBS Documentary, "9/11-Inside the Pentagon". This captivating show allows you to hear from survivors and heroes of that day. We would like to honor and thank Leo J. Titus, Jr., of ECS Mid-Atlantic, LLC, featured in this documentary, for being one of the first structural engineers on the scene to team up with first responders in rescuing people. May we never forget the lives lost and the heroes that were willing to sacrifice everything on that day.

Last week, the Employee-Owned S Corporations of America (ESCA) released a paper produced jointly with the National Center for Employee Ownership (NCEO) reviewing the benefits of private ESOP companies for governors and offering states tools for growing employee ownership.  The new report is called

Most privately held companies rely on physical share certificates which serve as the official record of ownership. This practice requires ESOP Companies to maintain share certificates in the name of the ESOP for the shares owned by the ESOP.  Those share certificates are generally held by the trustee of the ESOP.
